"L-O-V-E" is a jazz song written by Bert Kaempfert and Milt Gabler for American singer-pianist Nat King Cole's 1965 album L-O-V-E (the last album released before Cole's death on February 15, 1965).
The song has been covered by several artists, including King Cole's daughter Natalie Cole and English soul singer Joss Stone for the Joe Wright-directed advertising campaign for Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, starred by actress Keira Knightley. Stone's version was released worldwide on the iTunes Store on September 18, 2007, and reached number one hundred on the UK Singles Chart the week of November 17, 2007.
Stone performed a duet of the song with Natalie Cole at Frosted Pink, an ABC-televised benefit concert to raise awareness of women's cancer, held at the Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, California, on October 6, 2007.
Wouldn't it be great to hear this on a VH1 Divas concert?
